Friday Market Downtown

Friday Market Downtown

As I headed over from the Straz Center to meet a friend for a drink at Indigo Coffee on Frankln and Twiggs on Friday, I was stunned to see what the Friday Market has become.

Well, to be honest, I'm not real sure what it used to be...but I doubt it started out as it is now! I'd heard it was kind of a smallish farmers market, and was excited that I was at last stumbling into it since it happened to bump up alongside Indigo. (I hadn't even realized it would be happening that day. Sad to say, I work downtown, but rarely venture out.)

There are now so many vendors, I couldn't even see where it all ended! Because I arrived before my friend, I wandered over to talk to a vendor selling organic cotton totes and environmentally friendly, perfectly safe drink containers, with early holiday shopping on my mind. I could see she had a lot of treasures to be discovered in her booth.

Tampa Bay Food & Wine Experience postponed

Tampa Bay Food & Wine Experience postponed

Tampa, FL -- If you're like me and are wondering why you were refunded for the Tampa Bay Food & Wine Experience it seems that due to a permitting issue that would prevent organizers from setting up in time, the event was postponed.

The new date for the festival will be Feb. 17 & 18 at Curtis Hiixon Park in downtown Tampa.

If you purchased a ticket through Groupon you should have automatically received a refund to your account. If you purchased a ticket through the festival's website, the ticket is good for the new event date. However, if you would like a refund, you can email them at cheers@savor-events.com.
