Hillsborough County, Florida-- Commissioner Kevin Beckner, District 6, Countywide, is hosting office hours in the community one Wednesday every month for the rest of the year.

According to the commissioner, the office hours will take place in various spots around the county to give residents a chance to meet with him one-on-one and  share ideas and/or  voice concerns without having to travel to County Center in downtown Tampa.

No appointment is necessary and residents are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tampa, Florida-- If you are concerned about how animals are treated in the Hillsborough Animal Shelter, you will want to be at the Animal Advisory Committee meeting this evening.

The Committee meets at tonight, Wednesday April 24, at 6:30 on the 26th Floor of County Center in Conference Rooms  A and B.

The animal Advisory Committee which makes recommendations to the board of County Commissioners and the Animal Services Department is made up of veterinarians, rescue breeders and other concerned members of the public.

Tampa, Florida-- Two fortunate and talented Florida high school students were recently awarded the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts’ Broadway Stars of the Future Award.

Chandler Morehead and Tim Hart will have the chance to compete this June in the National High School Musical Theater Awards, named after Chairman of the Nederlander Organization, James Nederlander.
