Where's Phil Campbell's briefcase? | News

Tampa, Florida - When the Schnitt v. Bubba trial resumed this morning, Schnitt's attorneys were livid about the disappearence of Phil Campbell's briefcase which was in the car when he was arrested. Livid because of what it contained ... trial notes, deposition transcripts, and even more sensitive documents.

"....files leading to cross examination. They had that since Mr. Campbell's arrest at ten o'clock", said one of MJ's attorneys.

Council telling the judge he called Bubba's attorney, Steven Diaco, requesting his paralegal, Melissa Personius, return it.

"his response, 'oh, yeah .. she's in the process of returning it."

But that answer pushed MJ's attorney over the edge saying the Schnitt's were being done dirty.

"It's absolutely and completely destroyed their ability to get a fair trial."

Then Personius took the stand to answer questions about the briefcase which was taken from her possession by someone from Bubba's legal team and returned to her an hour later.

"So Mr. Metrone called tell you that you were going to return the briefcase after he had it in his possession for an hour you said?" said council.

"Yes," said Personius.

"Then what happened?" asked council.

"He dropped it off, I called a cab, and took it to the Bank of America plaza," said Personius.

The main question now is why did Bubba's legal team take the briefcase from Petronius, and what happened to it in the hour it was not in her possession?

The trial resumes Monday.
