Todd "MJ" Schnitt's lawyer arrested for DUI | News

Tampa, FL -  Charles Philip Campbell Jr., the lawyer representing radio personality Todd "MJ" Schnitt in his defamation case against Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, was arrested Wednesday night for driving under the influence.

According to the police report, he was arrested near Cass St. and E. Tampa St N at 10:08 p.m.  He refused to blow a breathalyzer.

Campbell was released after bonding out around 6:18 a.m. Thursday.

This is not the first time Campbell has been in trouble with the law. He was also arrested back in 2008 for DUI. In that case he pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 12 months probation, a $500 fine and ordered to go to DUI school and perform community service.

With this latest arrest, Campbell could be looking at a five-year suspension of his license, a mandatory 10-day jail sentence plus 12 months probation.

Court proceedings in the MJ vs. Bubba trial have been canceled for Thursday.

MJ is suing Bubba for making "false, highly offensive and defamatory statements" about him and his wife, Michelle.

MJ contends Bubba, his radio rival, encouraged his listeners to
make his life miserable. Testifying on Wednesday, MJ says he was forced to change his
lifestyle; he tried to shield his kids, cut back on his own public
appearances, and increased security at his house.

But Bubba's legal team argues that MJ and Michelle were fair game for any taunting, because both are public figures.
