Car Sexual Battery suspect arrested | News

Tampa, FL-- Detectives have arrested a man who has since admitted to sexually battering a woman in her car last month. 

According to reports, it was around 8:30 p.m. on December 22 when 31-year-old Anthony Matthews forced his way inside the 19-year-old victim's car as she sat inside. He then held her against her will and sexually battered her. 

The victim's car was located off the 1300 block of East 8th Avenue.

DNA was submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on December 31, and Tampa Police were able to match it to Matthews.
