TPD: 22-year-olds rob man, give car to mom | News

Tampa, Florida-- Tampa Police search for Steven Harris and Bobby Jackson, both 22, after they allegedly robbed between 400 and 520 Floribraska Ave.
According to TPD, at approximately 10:53 a.m., Edward Smith, 49, cashed his Social Security check and the suspects jumped out of a white Dodge Charger in the 400 block of Floribraska Avenue.
TPD says they pointed guns at the victim and demanded his money.
Smith ran and the suspects, Harris and Jackson, got in the vehicle and chased him to 520 Floribraska Avenue where they robbed him.
According to TPD, officers arrived on scene and advised all units in the area to be on the lookout for the white Dodge Charger.
Within 10 minutes, ROC officers spotted a vehicle matching the description with a female driver and pulled her over.
TPD says the officers determined Steven Harris had just turned the car over to his mother.
Detectives do not believe she was involved in the crime and she is cooperating with police.
Officers are now looking for the two suspects.
The suspects have been described as follows:
Steven Harris, 22:
- Black male with different colored eyes, resident of 3406 26th Street North, Tampa.
- Harris is on felony probation for burglary.
Bobby Jackson, 22:
- Black male, resident of 4420 Pompano Drive, Tampa.
- Jackson is on felony probation for aggravated assault.
