YBOR CITY, Fla. -- Thousands of people packed Ybor City Saturday night to watch the annual Knights of Sant' Yago's Knight Parade. More than 100 floats, along with marching bands and cars, made up the parade, which stretched along 7th Avenue from Nuccio Parkway to 22nd Street.

The crowd was mixed with those who have come every year to first timers. It seemed everyone, though, wanted to get their hands on beads. Some even developed somewhat of a strategy.
"I'm letting my girlfriend do the work out here. She's catching them and I'm just putting them on," said Bryan Byak.
"We're standing by kids. And you know, when you stand by kids, they send all the beads their way," said Ilia Crawford.
Many were just happy being able to enjoy music and the floats.
"I think it's a fun night. It's a fun, fun night. It's fun for everybody, no matter what age you are," said Eva Frederic.
The parade is the Knights of Sant' Yago's largest fundraiser of the year. More than $1,000,000 has been given in scholarship money.
Tampa Police say spectators were on their best behavior and there was no a single arrest at the event.
