St. Petersburg, Florida -- Do you feel a little over stressed?
There may be a reason: a new survey ranks the Tampa-St. Petersburg as America's most stressful city.
Sperling's Best Places considered the 50 largest metro areas. The study considered factors like divorce rate, commute times, unemployment, violent crime, property crime, suicides, alcohol consumption, mental health, sleep troubles and cloudy days.
Out of the 2.7 million people that live in the Tampa-St. Pete-Clearwater area, 12.3 percent are divorced. The average commute time is 28.3 minutes, and unemployment is 11.2 percent.
As for crime, we have 500 violent crimes per 100,000. Property crime is 3,387 per 100,000, and there are 15.5 suicides per 100,000.
This ranking wasn't very favorable to the Sunshine State in general. Jacksonville and Miami both made the top 5, along with the Bay area.
