Chick-fil-A, Children's Cancer Center collect "Fuel for Families"

Tampa, FL-- There are 38 Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Bay area, and each and every one of them are working alongside the Children's Cancer Center to provide "Fuel for Families" this November.

The “Fuel for Families” challenge will collect grocery and gas gift cards for families who struggle financially to get their children to critical medical visits, and to provide them with healthy meals while undergoing treatment, explains a release about the initiative.

The Nutcracker Ballet tickets on sale now

Lithia, Florida -- Tickets are now on sale for the Nutcracker Ballet highlighting local dancers in an inexpensive production! The ballet is a collaboration between the Theatre Arts and Dance Alliance and the Tampa Bay Dance Theatre.

There will be two matinee performances at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec, 9 at Howard W. Blake High School.

Tickets: $12 for students & seniors, $15 for adults, and $20 for premium seating.

Reminder!! Postal Service to collect toys at mailboxes December 1

Tampa, FL-- It seems early to start thinking of the holidays, but the Suncoast District of the U.S. Postal Service wants to inform its customers of their upcoming toy drive.

10 News told you all about it earlier this month, but we want to make sure you give yourselves enough time to get out there and pick up a toy to donate.

The collection will take place on December 1, exactly two weeks from today! The Postal Service will pick up the toys from customers who are able to leave them by their mailboxes, or in bins at the nearest post office.

Cigar & Heritage Festival this weekend

Tampa, Florida -- The annual Ybor City Cigar and Heritage Festival is this weekend. The daytime event on Saturday features cigars from national and local brands, cigar rolling demonstrations and live music.

Organizers say the event will also feature craft beer, food trucks and a kids zone.

The Cigar City Live radio show will broadcast live from the festival and former Tampa Bay Buc Chidi Ahanotu is scheduled to appear.

The Festival will be held at the Ybor Square located at 1901 N. 13^th St.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Glazer Chilren's Museum offers Thanksgiving Camp

Tampa, Florida -- The Glazer Children's Museum in Downtown Tampa is offering a three-day camp during the Thanksgiving week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., November 19 - 21.

The Camp offers full-day and half-day sessions for kids from kindergarten through fourth grade. The camp will have activities including art, science and world culture.

Skating is returning with Downtown on Ice

Tampa, Florida -- The highly popular and successful Downtown on Ice is coming back to Curtis Hixon Park starting this Friday, November 16.

The rink will be open in downtown through January 5.

Admission to the skating rink is $10 for 90 minutes of ice time. Groups of 20 to 49 get a reduced rate of $9; groups of 50 to 99 pay $8.50 each and groups of 100 and up $8 each.

Skating is available Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sundays from noon to 9 p.m.
