World's best wake boarders to compete in Red Bull Wake Open | Entertainment

Tampa, Florida-- Some of the "world's best" wake boarders will compete in the Red Bull Wake Open on July 13 and 14 in front of the Convention Center in Downtown Tampa. 

According to a recent release, wake boarders from eight different countries will join Florida born athletes in the competition, where they will be pulled through the water by a new, Eco-friendly "Sesitec System 2.0."

During the "Park" and "Big Air" portions of the race, riders will launch off of a 50-foot ramp at speeds nearing 40 mph to perform their best stunts for judges. 

The Red Bull Wake Open Schedule is as follows: 

• Friday, July 13 (4 p.m. - 8 p.m.)
• Saturday, July 14 (12 p.m. - 3 p.m.)

The Convention Center is located at 333 South Franklin Street Tampa, FL 33602.

Get your kicks watching the flips next weekend. Viewing areas will be located around the Channel at the Tampa Convention Center, Harbour Island and from Bayshore Boulevard.
