Japan and Victorians at Plant Museum
Tampa, Florida --The Henry B. Plant Museum is presenting an exhibit, Japan and the Victorians.
It is a look at art in Japan and style that influenced the 19th century artists and culture.
According to the Museum, by 1854, Commodore Matthew C. Perry had opened up the island of Japan to the Western world and Victorians were eager to explore and costume Japan's exotic culture.
The exhibit runs each day through the end of the year from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Henry B. Plant Museum, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa.
