PPN happy hour to benefit Sergeant Michael Nicholson

Tampa, Florida-- The Professional Philanthropy Network's (PPN) goal is to create networking opportunities and positive career connections for Tampa Bay area professionals while giving back to deserving charitable causes.

On May 22nd at The Lodge (516 S Howard Ave, Tampa), 100% of our event's proceeds will be donated to our May beneficiary, Sergeant Michael Nicholson!

Tampa, Florida-- Frankie’s Friends’ third annual fundraiser has officially been set for October 18 at the Centro Asturiano de Tampa, and organizers say petlovers will certainly want the password to this prohibition-era party!

If you have a soft spot for animals and enjoy speakeasy-style soirees, the Frankie’s Friends Unleashed for Hope fundraiser will be right up your "alley".

Hillsborough Human Relations board to meet

Tampa, Florida --The Hillsborough County Human Relations Board which reviews complaints filed under the County Human Relations Ordinance meets at 12 p.m. Tuesday May 14 at County Center.

The meeting will be on the 26th Floor of County Center, in Conference Room B.

County Center is located at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa.

Patel Conservatory presents "Evening of Shorts"

Tampa, Florida -- Patel Conservatory students from high school, college and adult theater classes taught by Kerry Glamsch and Jack Holloway will perform a collection of short plays and excerpts in Evening of Shorts on Friday, May 17, at 7 p.m. at the TECO Theater at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.

Students will perform excerpts from plays such as "Raisin in the Sun," "Blood Diamond," "Favors," "Don Quixote," "Boeing, Boeing" and "The Underpants." Overall, 15 pieces will be performed.

Fallen heroes to be honored in Hillsborough

Hillsborough County, Florida-- Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will honor local law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty during the Law Enforcement Memorial Service this week.

The service for the fallen heroes is open to the public, and will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15 at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park, 601 Old Water Street, Tampa, FL 33602.
